Don't connect any electrical device so that voltage goes through the heart. For example, don't put an electrode on each nipple. Put them so that the path could go through the nipple - one on either side of the same nipple. Or stay away from the heart area altogether. It isn't electrocution that is the problem; cardiac signals can be disrupted by low voltages and cause fibrillation; that is a heart that quivers rather than pumps. I cringe whenever I see TENS units used on sites that don't use this rule.
