i am interested to know why does some Doms/Masters/Dommes who have already have a r/l sub/slave that they get a sub/slave o/l also

What you're really asking, though, is why YOUR dom/master likes an o/l sub in addition to you, right? I mean...I've read your other posts and I think that's what's happening with you right now, correct?

If so, have you asked him why he desires an o/l sub? (and someone very far away...so there's no real chance of "meeting")...

The point I'm trying to make is, why put the question out there for strangers...when what you really want to know is, "why aren't I enough?"

This is a tough question and really, you'd have to ask a Dom who has both a RL and online sub. Sir chats with other subs online, however, they're aware of me. To the best of my knowledge, they're not in an online D/s relationship.

I also chat with other Doms online as well as over the phone (they are aware that I'm collared and have permission to talk to them). However, I'm not their submissive; though on occasion, I have to, ahem, gently remind them.

I hope you're able to get an answer and hopefully, it's something you can live with.

Before meeting Master, I was the o/l sub with someone who had a r/t long term sub. For him at least, although I didn't realise this at the time- I was a diversion, a sort of fantasy sub, with whom he didn't have to deal with his r/l issues. I think the very fact there was little likelihood of us meeting made it more interesting for him.

I don't know how it is for other Dominants who have o/l and r/l subs, but that is certainly how it was for him.

I think there is something else going on. First off, he wants an online sub. And while I don't know him at all, my thoughts are that it's closer to what miners_girl said about a "fantasy sub". Perhaps he found out that reality is complex.
