It seems to me that any word can be made derogatory. It's the sneer in their tone, in their face, that makes the difference.

It's all in the intended meaning really.
until a few a years ago i never heard anyone use the word "cunt" now its one of my fave words to be called by him *blushes*

as others have said, knowing one self is good, knowing that your dominant is saying it with the upmost care and esteem, makes being called one a hell of alot better.

i am not old fashion, i like dirty names, very dirty names, but onces the line of disrespect has been crossed thats when it stops being playful and starts getting serious.

it's all about trust. i am not merely "A" slut. i am MASTER'S slut. there is a difference. i am called that name by him out of love and respect for my insatiable desire to serve him in any way that i can.

i have worked hard to demonstrate to him that i am his obedient, devoted and sensual partner in this relationship. he has the right and privilege to call me this. for that is who a i am...to him.

to others i am proper, respectful and often flirtatious and teasing, but not owned and adored by them - not THEIR slut.

i wear this name with great honor and pride. for it means that i am pleasing to my Master.

I agree. I've noticed a lot of people here saying that only their dominant may call them names without risk of being bitch slapped. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me (sort of). I don't care who calls me names. If they don't know me and say something that isn't true, why should I get upset enough to do violence? They're just ignorant. If they say something that is true, why should I be angry at someone for telling the truth? If the truth hurts, it's time to take a good look at yourself in a mirror and decide if you like what you see or if something needs to change. If you like what you see, that's really all that matters, and whoever doesn't like it can go fuck themselves!

I somewhat agree with this. There are some names that only my master may call me (I am his and only his Dirty Little Slut). But he also knows that there are things he doesn't call me, such as a whore. I think, now anyway, that a slut is a woman who is open and honest with her sexuality. It may be a woman who likes being with many partners, or just someone who likes doing what she is told. A whore, on the other hand, at least in my life, is a negetive name that calls to mind someone who uses sex as a trade for money or drugs or whatever they are looking for. They don't enjoy what they do, but they do it anyway, which is why it is negetive.

Because it is too much to paste and clutter the forum. Click the link and read what society calls them.

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Slut
    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Whore
    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Prostitute
    and for good measure...........
    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Harlot

Okay so first of all all of you have to look upon the factors of perception.

    To me:

Slut - Slave Longterm Under Training. A sexually driven person.
Whore - A person who is sexually unbiased.
Prostitute - Business woman in the sex industry.
Not to be confused with the Porn Industry.
Harlot - Business woman in the sex industry in the 1700 and earlier.
Also a really wicked term just like wench.

So the next thing I would like to say is that I am mostly a literal person. Given that I do not call people by names they are not or not being in a scenario based situation.

The last thing I would like to say about the assumption line in your reply is:

" I will call you what I please, do not presume to tell me what I can and cannot call you. Rephrase your words as I know you understand me better than most. If you were a whore I would call you a whore, or anything else. You forget your place. I realize that you are still in training so I will only say this one more thing. Come to me for your list of chores and punishments."

Thank You all for your patience and understanding. The main point I am making here is perception.

I have yet to read a better line of reasoning that what you've just stated!
Now as others, if you would've asked me that a few years ago, you would've gotten a wholly different answer. But here goes: What you do in your own life, is exactly that, your own life. No-one has the right to judge you, for what you do, or don't do. I get so tired of people judging other people ( like they don't have things in thier lives that they may or may not be proud of or that is different than anyone else's lives ) that it makes me sick!
If we were all the same, and did all the same things, and didn't have differing tastes, then I would try to move to another planet!!!!!!!!!!!!
What life is all about, in my most honest opinion, is to experience as much as we can, regardless of what some stuck-up prude says or thinks.
George Clinton said " free your mind, and your ass will follow."
I think that applies well, here!

i have never viewed the word 'slut' as a bad word, even before i became involved with a Dom...He taught me that there was a whole 'slut system'...for example, in His world, according to Him, there were 'pain sluts' (girls who really wanted pain and nothing else), 'cum sluts', whose focus was eating cum, 'bondage sluts', who of course liked to be tied up, etc., even though they may have enjoyed/engaged in other activities.

of course, in the throes of sexual excitement or subbie space, that word is thrilling and pushes you further, and even when i am not playing, i never mind being called 'slut'.

i was never called 'whore' and don't think i would like it if i were, because whores are very mercenary and deliberate and don't get any pleasure out of serving men. (although maybe 'cockwhore' would be ok). sometimes i like 'little bitch' as in 'you're my good little bitch, aren't you' although i like 'slut' best, and do not see it as degrading or demeaning. i don't like the word 'cunt' too much, especially being called that (which i have never been called either).
