"Pet" girl kicked off bus for wearing leash

This story was bought up a lil while ago and the bus company did appologise to the couple. the driver of that bus was more concerned about her leash causing problems if there were to have been an accident more than anything.
The story did hit our national papers and a lot of people actually sided with the couple in question.

One of our papers actually spent the day with the couple seeing how they lived.. asking friends and neighbours how they felt about the couples activities and they all stated that it was their business and not theirs and that they had got so used to seeing them they way they are that it was just a part of life seeing them about town.

in one article i read on this cg, Miss Maltby stated that the bus driver said "We don't allow freaks or dogs on this bus"

i don't see the safety concern in his statement if that is true unfortunately
and sure the company apologized, but likely only because they HAD to to avoid a law suit - it doesn't diminish the fact that people would be so hurtful to others that they have no clue about

some things will never change and sadly, this sort of discrimination is one of them

ive only heard the 'freaks and dogs' version myself...anyway dogs are allowed on buses in the uk as long as their fare is paid and they stay on the leash so i
i dont believe the safety excuse for one minute,its a bit illogical really.

the only thing causing safety issues on buses are the bloody drivers...have you ever been on a UK bus?? sheeesh

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they have recruitment centres in prisons
