Okay, so it's over a year ago since there was a reply in this here thread, but I just wanted to add that, in order to ameliorate one's skills in writing dialogue based stories, listening to older radioplays can help a lot. It's often not enough to be able to write natural sounding conversations, there's also the trick of adding enough information into the dialogue to 'show' what's going on, without sounding too heavy on hand. radioplays are a good balance between informative and talkative...
