To me this is more of a place to come & chew the fat, than to pick up girls. I sure don't want to put my own home town in my profile & can see why many others wouldn't.

If I like the looks of someone I just say hi- I'd be pretty suss about saying where I live first up, I'd like to find out if the person is OK first. That way if we want to blow each other off, it's OK.....

I actually started chatting with a woman only a few hours from me, thinking that 'she's close' sort of thing. Turned to to be somewhat boring & self-centred- now I wish I hadn't been so quick to say where I lived....

I've sure met some nice people here though, I must say- some of the nicest ever, by just joining in & putting myself out there as honestly as possible. (poor fools, if only they knew how evil I really am)

I fucked up because I did list my home town. Maybe I should remove it. On the other hand, it did let me meet someone very nice and very near to my home town. And Tojo, I agree with you, I too have met some very nice people and some are half a world away.
