conscious streaming

conscious streaming
a torrent of emotions, thoughts, dreams, fears
cascading out in a jumble of words
that seem to be without reason or logic.
It is as if my inner being
has vomited out the vile contents
that sicken it, seeking to rid itself
of the malevolent demons that infest
the darkest recesses of its bowels.
The sought after cleansing
brings only temporary peace.
Life again deposits the festering
rotting remains of unfulfilled dreams
and broken promises
which begin once more
to spread the poisons
that destroy happiness and undermine joy.
